2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
[Insert amazed profanities here]. This movie is a masterpiece and Stanley Kubrick is a genius. The more I digest this, the more profound it becomes.
The visuals are also insane and the music is perfect.
If you didn't like this movie, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you tried to turn your brain off when you were watching it. I'm sorry, my friend, but that was a mistake and you, therefore, missed absolutely everything.

I was a little concerned at the very start, but that quickly went away. Not sure if I like this one better than the first, but the two are definitely close.
The fact that you can feel the tangible awkwardness in the beginning is crazy. To see--and more importantly, feel--where the two characters actually are emotionally is heartbreaking. The last third of this movie made me feel some things. What am I saying? The whole movie made me feel a lot of things.
Not enough can be said about these two actors. They are phenomenal. There is so much to be said in their subtlety.
