When you have 3 people (plus yourself) in your direct view of a theatre with 6 people in it, looking up what the end was and then talking to each other slightly, wondering what exactly just happened, maybe it’s not the best… I understand now, but it could have been shown or done so much better. UGH idk what to do with this. I was tired watching it but oml. I really just don’t know. It didnt hit much of the same beats that other David lynch films and tv do for me. This and Eraserhead are definitely my least favorite lynch projects. Idek. I wish I had more things to say

Seeing this on a worn 35mm print felt so perfect oh my god !! The Disney logo at the beginning on 35mm was so cool 😭
Anyway this film is so very much straight forward and personal. While it’s not as batshit crazy as Lynch’s other works it still has its weird and silly moments.
The joke about baptists never failing to mention they are baptists had all the whole crowd laughing 😭
I LOVE. He changed so much about the book but honestly I really loved it and felt it was represented very well :)) I think the first 25 minutes (?) kinda dragged but after that I was so into it !!! I do wish they didn't change the name of Berato (Timo) though. I like the name Berato from the book. Something about it has a nice ring.
