Nosferatu 2024
Hits all the beats of previous iterations which I wasn’t expecting from Eggers but centering Ellen was an appreciated deviation. The mise-en-scène is gorgeous from start to finish. I’m sorry for doubting you Lily-Rose. Whoever said you have “iPhone face” needs a visit from the death hounds. I forgot your forehead wasn’t born in the 1800s for a lot of the film.

The lighting is unreal across this whole film. Klaus is such an incredible vampire clown in this. Equal parts goofy horny creepy guy. Sensational shadow work and rat work.

Conclave 2024
The pomp and circumstance. The theatricality. The spectacle of it all. A very entertaining melodrama captained by Ralph Fiennes. Watching him and Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow duke it out in cardinal vestments is worth the price of admission alone. I would be all over the Conclave Deuxmoi page if it were real.
