Beautiful exploration of the fragility of memory. An amazing writing credit from the genius mind of Charlie Kaufman, and a nice introduction to the concepts and themes explored in some of his other works - particularly in his directorial credits. Great direction from Gondry too, and all-around great performances from Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, with great support from Mark Ruffalo and Elijah Wood.

Far better than it has any right to be. It's clear Boyle actually wanted some soul in his sequel, and wasn't interested in printing money based on the reputation of its predecessor.
