That slap almost makes me want to bump this up to 4 stars. I knew nothing about this going into it. All I knew was that it had some great actors that I like and that was all I needed to know. Both Jesse and Kieran were so good. Man their interactions and acting and chemistry felt so authentic it was hard to watch at times because it felt so real and uncomfortable. I wasn’t as emotionally touched by this as some people seemed to be but it was a good time and I enjoyed it for the most part.

Music was great, surprise surprise. It was cool seeing so much footage of the Beatles early days and getting to know their personalities and seeing concert footage, even if it was a scripted movie. Actually really funny too. Didn’t have any expectations going into this and was pleasantly surprised with how much comedy there was.

The music, action, acting, world design, sound design, cinematography, and special/visual effects…

    [Butterfly]: Any Studio Ghibli movie.

[Me]: “Is this the greatest animated movie of all time?”

I don’t know if it’s recency bias or what, but man, I loved this movie so much. It might be one of, if not my #1, favorite  Studio Ghibli movie, and one of my favorite movies ever. I’ll have to rewatch it a couple more times before I give…
