Yeah, but you know what the problem with selling minutes is? There's only one minute in a minute.

This is my Social Network. It’s amazing how much this cuts out of the story and still manages to have an emotional core. Barely a single character has even a vague sense of a personal life. It’s friends and it’s business, and somehow that’s very much enough.

Some of the product pitch scenes in this are just some of the best things…

“It's the idle hours that most often lead a man to ruin.” It's not Dylan Thomas, but it oughta be.

Still low-tier Fincher for me, but a fun time.

Most of the VO is just super pragmatic, but once in a while it dips into this ultra nihilistic vibe and is very reminiscent of Fight Club

Some surprisingly noticeable vfx in this one!

    Don't fuck with my marriage.

    Hell ya. This rules.

Somehow simultaneously a very big story playing out on a very small scale, and a very personal story playing out on a large scale.

    Fassbender and Blanchett rule.

One of the only recent Soderbergh films I’ve felt compelled to see and enjoyed as an actual movie and not just a filmmaking exercise.

I first saw Naomie Harris in Dead Man’s Chest TWENTY YEARS AGO and she looks the literal exact same.

I'm sure you're used to it by now, but what's it feel like to die?

It’s like this movie - Blade Runner 2049 mixed with Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind but it’s a comedy and it’s directed by Bong Joon Ho - was made in a lab to be my favorite movie ever. And… it’s good! Not great, and maybe even worst of the Bong films I’ve seen, but to be fair, that’s still a very high bar. …
