  Super neat for a modern film to actually be set in the present, let alone not come up with contrived gimmicks to remove phones/internet/etc. In fact that is precisely what makes The Killer so interesting. In using modern technology that has made everything so interconnected and convenient, Michael Fassbender's character is able to render himself invisible by roleplaying as a generic consumer. No one questions his actions because he has effectively coopted modern capitalism as a cloak.…
