  Feels like a lost gem from the ‘90s and early 2000s—an original, mid-budget mix of romance, comedy, and chaos that we rarely get anymore. Jack Quaid and Amber Midthunder have great chemistry, but the real star is the script. It’s sharp, playful, and never takes itself too seriously, making for a fun ride with payoffs around every corner. A breath of fresh air. Hopefully, a sequel isn’t too much of a pain!

  “The Substance” is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It takes what feels like a straightforward plot and jams it through the boundaries of your imagination until you’re left with your jaw dropped and your eyes wide open, staring at some of the most shocking images you can imagine. Demi Moore stuns, and Margaret Qualley keeps rising to new heights. When the dust settles, I think we might have to talk about this as one of the top 3 films of the year. Holy shit.
