Movie movie movie I love-a-da movies
they/them
Perhaps a hot take but this might be my favorite Paddington yet! I never want them to stop making these beautiful little movies of this silly little bear.
Apparently Sally Hawkins has lupus and can't travel which makes me feel better about the recast, but still weird that they didn't address the fact that it was a new Mrs. Brown whatsoever. Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas are so fun! The score is so nice and jolly! So many cute, tender moments! Love!
3.6 my ass, this is a masterpiece that (I can only hope) will be looked at as a classic in a decade or two. It's dense as hell, but is so full of and brimming with life that it's hard to not fall in love with this world and its characters. And sheeesh talk about representation, Raul is maybe my favorite trans character of all time and is done in such a lowkey and nonexaggerated way that just felt so wholesome :')
Gregg Araki delivered on his promise and this is in fact a homo movie. Pretty crazy how so much yet so little has changed in terms of adolescent queer experiences
