Fully prepared for losing what little film credibility I have by not giving the Godfather 5 stars but I just struggled to love it despite it clearly being masterfully put together

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
The animation was lovely and it’s clear it was made with love by a team of animators that love the franchise as much as I do.
That said this is an average (at best) illumination film made for kids with an especially lacklustre effort given to flesh out a cohesive story paved over by shoving an abundance of Nintendo references on screen every minute instead of actually creating a satisfying film for all (or any) ages.
