I think to my knowledge, this is the least Tim Burtony movie that that Tim Burton has done and I think that’s a good thing.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle 2004
I think humor will often go over peoples heads. More so than not, people are always laughing for the wrong reasons. I’m sure as a selling point, this film was marketed as a “stoner comedy” because they smoke weed and funny things happen.
