Hannah Takes the Stairs 2007
It is like witnessing to geeky/nerdy teenagers flirt in a seat behind you on a buss or in thar corner of a sofa at the party, or in a weird public place...uncanny, overly self centred, dramatically self observant and self reflective, exhibitly smart.
This feeling makes everything feel true, lifelike. I forgot I was watching a movie. Red skin, pimples, weird camera zoom ins, hairy legs, ugly props, also subtile details and sincere performances of actors went in tact for this ‘real life show’.Translated from by -

Poetical philosophical and slow peace as Tarkovsky himself. A peak into a daily life of a great director although not casual at all. The culmination - scene was so tensed even looking from the ‘outside’, I held my breath. Almost felt like I am there on set surviving the major risk of this epic shot.

Force Majeure 2014
Casual circumstances, likely event, almost no scenes with more then four people and... unanswerable question about a mankind. Unsolvable dramatic situation. Along with beautiful static geometrical shots, great edit and convincing actors it becomes one of my favourite moves of today.
