Civil War 2024
The reasons I was apprehensive about watching this were a theme in it and that’s good. I don’t think that’s spoilers. Is that spoilers? Shit. Ok ok ya America is obsessed with violence and Alex Garland dips in and plays with this overtly and semi-covertly. There’s a bait a switch in regards to its marketing and then the central themes and ending. It’s still sit in the problem with films and media that do this where is it really saying enough to justify he trickier, or is it just a moustache twirl by a rich man. Only mime will tell. Mime is money.

I liked it but It keeps telling me there’s stakes but I never feel the stakes. All the actors look like they are having fun doing the impersonations.
John Belushi actor is straight up just John Belushi, it’s messed up. I like that real Chevy Chase didn’t like it but also screw real Chevy Chase.super nerd note, I don’t think they put Re20s on booms. Poor RE20s in film. SMH bohemian rhapsody.
