  music bops so hard and visual storytelling is actually so incredible and i actually love the push and pull of their father son relationship bc like yeah it’s not just suddenly fixed after one peaceful moment

  when you already have a solid trilogy, it can be hard for the later-produced fourth entry to really make a case for itself (ie matrix 4, shrek 4, crystal skull, even toy story 4 to a degree) but i think oppenheimer passes that test. granted, this was a really strange and sharp tonal shift from dog days, but overall it stuck the landing and left me with lots to think about. however rodrick rules is unquestionably still the strongest entry of the franchise, which i could’ve seen that one in IMAX 70mm instead tbh
