Todd really had something special with Joker 2 being a musical while Arthur entertains the delusions of his head in the midst of a death sentence trial - but it simply was just too all over the place. Yes it was not canon but that alone is not a problem, the half energy music numbers took away from the story line far too often and didn’t give it room to breath. Joaquin and Gaga were great casting pics as well as Catherine Keener - with some genuinely great scenes but Todd - what happened ?

Bong Joon Ho’s eagerly awaited follow up to one of the greatest films ‘Parasite’ didn’t quite live up to its predecessor but among his other films - is just another landmark of amazing works. Mickey 17 was an exciting yet comedic look on basically groundhog day but with an ethical dilemma and risk of permanently dying introduced. Casting was perfect and Mark Ruffallo especially was hilarious, evil, and stupid all at the same time. Although this was my least favorite Ho movie - it certainly deserves multiple watches

I was on a good roll. I kept telling all my friends and family that horror these days was doomed and it was mostly just proper shit but the last handful of horror movies that I’ve watched were actually decent like Long legs, Romulus, and Nosferatu. But alas, all good things must come to an end and this movie was really lacking – my main grievance with it was the script. It felt liked a crapped out ABC family romcom…

Strengthening my interest for poetry and the art of wordsmiths - The Tragedy of Macbeth is unrelentless in its use of complex vocabulary, haunting shadowy cinematography, and amazing acting! Showcasing the works of Shakespeare in a way that is both appreciative and modern (so much so that I had to stop halfway and jot down my own poem) Coen makes another great film!
