I wish the theater had seatbelts because I was not ready for the twists and turns in this movie. I went into it thinking it was going to be an iconic lesbian love story centered around a bodybuilding competition that I wouldn’t shut up about for at least a week. This movie was incredibly filmed. A mind-bending and devastating (sort of true) tale that toes the line of morality in the most fascinating and guilting way. May December will leave you in a state of questioning and glamorous disappointment as we get an insider look into dark methods of acting. Honorable mention goes to Charles Melton who gave a heartbreaking performance of a man who was swept away from his childhood and was robbed of any and all opportunity of the human experience that so much of us take for granted.
