The suspense is this movie is so great, because even us the audience are never really sure who has or hasn't been replaced by "the thing". So we feel some of the characters suspicion and fear. A monster that can replicate and replace someone is SUPER creepy. The effects are also really good, like any scenes with the creature in its actual form are so gross. I'm also a fan of the kind of ambiguous ending.

5 stars all day! I love this movie, though part of my personal love for it comes from playing alien isolation before seeing the movie, so I became engrossed into the universe of this movie before going into it haha. Beyond that though, this movie is just so well done. The practical effects, the camera work, the acting, the dialogue, all great! The practical sets are just ART, like they look so good and make the atmosphere feel so full and real. I would recommend this movie to anyone!

Halloween was good but a little boring at times, like there were multiple scenes that had me wanting to get on my phone and check my email. It was still an interesting movie though and Michael Myers was certainly creepy. My favorite part was after Michael killed Bob, how he just stood there and stared at Bob pinned to the wall. That added some much needed tension to the movie and to Michaels character for me.
