  enjoyed this…definitely felt more like engaging with baldwin’s work and its application today rather than a documentary. hearing his reflections about the lives (and subsequent deaths) of medgar evers, malcolm x, and martin luther king was very insightful as the audience hears about them as friends and peers of baldwin rather than how they are depicted in textbooks.

  my favorite part was the romance between nasha and mickey! i knew it was sci-fi and enjoyed the complexity of the expendables plotline, but i was not expecting such poignant commentary of the multitudes of love, grief, and how they are intertwined as well.  

  my inner hopeless romantic was healed by not having to consume another disposable black girlfriend troupe in a movie :) 

  also how did i not know how good of an actor robert pattinson was? him and naomi ackie have made super fans of me!!!

  lastly, i must have one of those creeper stuffed animals from the press tour immediately!
