What you would expect from a summer blockbuster. No fewer plot holes than previous in the series. Sets up the next movies we'll and stayed relatively true to the original. Was maybe too clearly political, but I understand the American public needs those clearer symbols.

    The Strangers: Chapter 1

Money grab. Cinematography was unoriginal and unnecessarily ended on a cliffhanger. Acting wasn't completely terrible, but the writing was.

Saw with wife and friends Kristen and David in theaters.

Remarkable cinematography. A story not often heard of a politician holding criminals accountable, wealthy or otherwise. First two thirds of the story are from the perspective of a native becomes near slave confidant to one of the largest serial killers in Chilean, Argentinian and Brazilian history. The dynamic of relationships and acting were played out beautifully by some less than well known actors. The use of lighting on the actors eyes was very roshomonesque, but beautifully done.

Feel it's misreviewed as from the perspective of the killer. It's violent to a serious degree and from a perspective of the nature surrounding the kills. Story was setup well without a narrator. Monologue in the car was good and the closeout was anxiety inducing. Aside from that scene acting was as good as it could of been.
