The World to Come 2020
For as slow as this film is, it actually feels pretty rushed, which is pretty ironic coming from the cowriter of the Brutalist. A little space within the scenes and less cuts in the editing would make the scenes more engaging and present.
The score is beautiful and the seasons/climate are filmed with such vibrant detail, but the format relies way too much on literary voiceover, which will always take me out of the reality of the scene.
