One of the best movies of the year.

Surprisingly, this was a good film. I’m not a fan of the director(s) previous work, so I was cautiously optimistic. It worked on most levels, save for the usual “serious” subplot (that’s in 99% of comedy films) and the fact that it lacked in some of the comedic bits. The scene with McAdams and the Third Eye Blind song was my favorite scene. 😂

Having been not a huge fan of the original film, I was excitedly cautious walking into this. Oh boy was I surprised. '2049' is not only a better film than its predecessor, but it is also a instant masterpiece.
