It has an interesting premise, one I won’t touch upon too much as you’d rather watch the film than see me fail to explain it.
What I will talk about though, is the use of politics and parody. It’s quite clear who the character of Kenneth Marshall is inspired by, it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. I like the way this film wasn’t afraid to address Trump and the rise of fascism across the US/the west. (again)…

I heard good things from my friends about this, and they were 100% right to recommend it. I just wish they warned me about how heart-wrenching it would be at points.
But seriously, a great film from start to finish, one that makes you want to laugh and cry (often at the same time).
It plays brilliantly on grief and survivor’s guilt, and also the tragedy that is strained familial relationships.
