Groundbreaking for the time it was made, visually trend setting and I can see how it has inspired so many films. However the plot has aged poorly with super slow pacing and a lack of meaningful motives for characters or interesting / layered plot points. It focuses more on metaphors for what it means to be human then it does on an actually interesting story.
