The Power of the Dog 2021
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A very promising story that was not executed in the best way in my opinion. Phil's interest in 'taking care' of Peter is too sudden considering that he despised him for a good part of the film, the way Phil dies is too fast, the development of the character Rose is not consistent and George's participation seemed frankly short. I would say that it turned out to be a very good recipe where the cook forgot the salt.

I arrived a little late, but just in time. And what a spectacular time I spent watching Mickey 17. Such a beautiful film, with such a complexly simple approach to demonstrate to us that we all have different people inside us, and that each of these people is part of our own personality. Simply beautiful. A film that spreads the message of what the search for our identity should be. It demonstrates that the difference between cultures so different from each other can be completely overcome and the greatest help for this to happen is the representation of freedom. In this case, freedom was embodied in the horses that ran and had their freedom taken away to be sacrificed in stupid disputes between human beings.

Nosferatu 2024
Robert Eggers managed to transform a simple story into such a complex plot, in a good way. Nosferatu having a moustache was something so strange in the beggining but I ended up finding it genius throughout the film. I mean, it was all this film was. I found it all so strangely good. You already knew how it was going to end with 30 minutes to go, but yet it didn't cease to amaze. The visuals are stunning, the performances are all great and the score is splendid.
