  what can you do when you feel so small and the problems all around you are so insurmountable ? you lean on you your neighbors, you make follow your purpose, and you never give up on your friends.

  A heart blistering portrait of grief and motherhood. Lisa's character while she may not be the most likable, is really honest, I think she did a great job acting, she's a mother who can't be emotionally available for her children.

  Unpacked a lot of harsh realities: racism, parenting/class struggles, unemployment, lack of support veterans and their families are given, disabilities... oof it was heavy , not too heavy but like, definitely an emotional piece.

  traumatizing .... and kind of made me want to throw up during it

  I read some analysis after I finished watching and a lot of the details and plot I think went over my head bc I couldn't focus on anything except how visually disturbing the whole thing was,

  however, after reading some of the interpretations people mentioned about gender, being in control of your body, chosen family, etc, I feel like I can appreciate it a lot more than…
