  Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is set In a medieval/futuristic setting that shouldn’t work but does perfectly. A badass half vampire with a talking hand rides a mechanical horse and fights werewolves, shadow assassins and noble vampires. The style is so unique that it almost isn’t even “anime” persay. The machinery reminded me of the various guns and machines in Trigun and the tall imposing imagery of gothic architecture and towering castles pulled me in to the world. The animation is…
