Throwback to the Snowpiercer days! Give Bong Joon-Ho an interesting sci-fi idea and he’ll turn it into a movie about… everything?
Is the movie kinda all over the place? Yes. But that’s why we love mr. Joon-Ho. The absurdity is part of the ride. At the end of the day though, he still is focused on capitalisms ability to demean genuinely meaningful things, whether that be other people or cute elephant worm things.
Loved Pattinson, truly doesn’t work without him and his lovely voice.

Everyone needs to see this just so that I can confirm it’s existence. Not only the most ambitious movie since 1999 but I am already having trouble remembering the maaaany small details/moments that made me fully trust the Daniels. Having Michelle violently puke for like three seconds instead of the usual weird spit they usually do in movies, the many sound effects like super smash bros and always sunny jingle that i am guessing were all royalty free, the 2001…
Epic. Flew by.
Still in love with how insanely real everything looks and sounds. Everything is tactile. The movie is also really rewarding after having just watched Dune part one again.
Bardem just having a great time was a highlight.
