  The whole thing’s kinda stupid, isn’t it? Feels like everything in the film is contrived in favour of the themes but then it turns out the themes are dumb, disconnected and not very well thought-out. The character of Emerald is irritating as hell, and so is Keke Palmer’s performance. Steven Yeun is just wasted in a less-than-nothing role, and while the Gordy attack sequence is good, it feels like a lot of effort and money for very little. Just feels like Jordan Peele has been taking steps backwards with every film after Get Out.
