There's a good piece of writing advice that goes something like this: is this the most interesting point in your characters life? If not, why aren't we seeing that?
The angsty opening credits brush over what sounds like a much more interesting, colorful, and consequential story about secret spies training, sleeper agents, fake lives and deception. If the events in Black Widow don't mean anything in the MCU besides setting up her sister, why are we seeing this?
