Going into this movie, I had a feeling that dark themes would be at play just based on the cover. However, I did not expect the cinematography and pacing to be so captivating. There are many moments throughout the film where scenes blend together and you start to question reality. In a sense, there is no true way to know what’s real and not - which perfectly reflects how mental disorders can feel. The viewer is subjected to constant feelings…

As someone who watches a fair amount of anime, this show has managed to capture a very special part of my life. From the soundtrack to the European atmosphere, you can clearly tell Urawasa put a lot of care into crafting this world. Despite being heavy in dialogue, the suspense and intensity of the plot manages to keep the viewer guessing each moment. Also certain characters become extremely likable due to their development over the course of the show.
