  The Company of Wolves 1984

  The movie put so much budget into wildlife creatures that they forgot to shoot an ending.

  The set design, costumes, etc. are all wonderful, I love the atmosphere that it gives the movie. The connecting tissue is a bit flimsy though, and the ending is abrupt and unfulfilling. Although the movie is about a dream, maybe that’s the point?

  A genuinely good blend of horror and comedy, The Monkey weaves Final Destination-esque deaths with a nice little story about family and death. Right from the opening scene, the tone is set: it’s gonna get gruesome, and it’s gonna get real fun with it.

  An abstract, seductive movie that you just cant take your eyes off of.

  I think my personal favorite part was when the vampire lady watched the woman she was seducing having sex with a man. While it’s meant to be a dramatic moment, the darndest, funkiest music you’ve ever heard in your life is blaring over it.

  I really didn’t expect this to be as funny as this was, but it was great. Never seen any of Sean Baker’s movies before, but now I can’t wait to see the rest.

  Maybe once I watch this again, I’ll have more to say, but yeah, banger of a movie.
