  I had weirdly never seen this movie in its entirety before. Let’s start with the bad: the script, the clarity of the story, and much of the acting are more or less nonsense. You likely won’t care about a single person in this film. On the other hand, I always appreciate a director who just goes for it, and Coppola certainly does.   Wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I’ve never been into Bob Dylan, but this film helped me understand why he was such a phenomenon and I found it surprisingly captivating. I’ve enjoyed Chalamet in several movies, but legit didn’t know he had this performance in him. One of my favorite films of 2024 simply because I would have happily watched another 2 hours of this.

  My wife and I went to see this because I couldn't get her to see Trap with me. She thought it was great. Don't let that fool you. This is a horrible movie with a horrible script portraying horrible people being horrible friends. Almost nothing about the plot makes sense. And don't even get me started on the fact that it becomes a musical at the very end for no apparent reason.
