This is like a 1990s crime movie through a dream like lens, there’s so much consideration for mood and color here. The music shines and there’s such a deep appreciation for the people and the culture in it
There’s also just so many weird moments in here that make it work so well

Every color is so oppressive in the best way possible, everyone’s drenched in sweat and the sun is just beaming down and the classic tony Scott sunset has never looked better
Honestly I’m nowhere near as interested in the flight scenes as I am in Maverick and Goose’s adventures (god rest his soul) but still love how incredibly shot they are

i can see why this is held in such a high regard, basically everything about this show was excellent and completely MY taste. Twin Peaks definitely made me appreciate and love David Lynch so much more. I already liked him a lot, but this show made me fully realize his genius.
