The Wild Robot 2024
Something about this made me want to compare it to wall-e which is probably why I don’t feel like I want to give it a 4. Some of the dialogue just kind of took me out of it a bit. Overall very enjoyable and an interesting setting that was cool to see through bits and pieces.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man 2024
Went in with no expectations and actually ended up kind of pleasantly surprised. Significantly more interesting than any other Hellboy movie has been, though witch-horror isn’t really a genre I’m watching a lot of. I imagine it’s not actually good in that context.

Easily the best Marvel universe movie in a while and it represents the best “multiverse” entry to date.
A compelling story presented in a visually thrilling and fun way with some unexpected cameos and crossovers to boot.
Very curious if they’ll introduce some of these characters into a live action movie at some point.

Black Adam 2022
Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but still about what you’d expect for a DC comic book movie + a Dwayne Johnson movie.
Stuff explodes, most of the characters feel useless, lizard brain plot, some kinda bad CGI at times, reasonably well paced, and provides some actual context. I guess technically there was a twist, but they should have just not.
