The one thing a movie can do for me to make me love it is reveal that the trailer told me absolutely nothing about what I was embarking on. The other thing a movie can do for me to make me love it is have just the right amount of complexity, that I'm not already moving two steps ahead of the plot. Oddity outpaces traditional horror consumers desire to speedrun the film in the best ways.
I can't wait to watch it again.
