Really enjoyed the visuals, especially the color palette with the neon pink, and the outfits were super fun as well. Solid performances all around. Was definitely an intriguing plot for the first half but I felt by the end it was a bit of a missed opportunity with the happy ending. They also dabbled in the race aspect but felt that could have been explored more too. Solid but nothing special to me

Really love Hailee Steinfeld’s performance as classic angsty teen with a wisdom-beyond-her/years twist. Beyond that it was all solid but unspectacular, with a little more tropey side characters (successful popular older bro with a heart, mom who isn’t doing a great job post dead-dad, bestie turned enemy turned bestie). Would have been interesting to get to know Woody Harrelson’s character a bit more- Hailee really carried the whole thing- but maybe that was the right call. Cute

Always love seeing Jeffrey Wright and Sterling K. Brown, and found the concept really fascinating. Some really funny moments but the emotional ones didn’t resonate as much, and it was too bad the best character got yeeted 20 minutes in. Enjoyable, just wanted it to be a touch more thought-provoking.
