I can’t stress enough how this movie is truly deserving of the Best Picture Oscar.
From beginning to end, I’m Still Here captures us and transports us to Rio with its full atmosphere. Even though your mind is set on the plot, expecting this happiness won’t last, it’s beautiful how the first part lets us fall in love with Eunice and her family. It really feels like a dream, being with them at the beach, enjoying their parties, their music……
I’m sorry this movie didn’t move me in any sense. I guess at the beginning it looked that it was going to be interesting, but I didn’t saw the big picture out of this film.
Got to recognize there are many great shots, but I think knowing it was too long and that it had an intermission ruined it for me. All the time I felt like I was counting minutes down to each phase.

What a great time to be alive seeing movies like this one with no pretenses, no other to have fun, enjoy the ride, and have a good time.
