Intense and very uncomfortable in many different moments…I liked that they took the high road at the end instead of the ending I think we were all expecting or wanting it to be…great performances as well…
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
There were some really good moments in this movie but I think I went in expecting it to stand out and instead it just was kind of disjointed in a way that wasn’t innovative but more just confusing at times.
The performances were fantastic and I loved the struggles I just wish that it was more like blue valentine ish- as far as sticking with you afterwards…and it wasn’t.
Great acting and great great moments…especially waving goodbye on the ice…
But I will probably not watch it again…
What can I say it’s freaking Tom Hardy so I’ll see it multiple times in the theatre…I love the fact that. Ebola voice is based on the voice he does for his dog when he is at home, I love the fact that venom is based on his battle with substance abuse and the duality of it…but the reason the first movie worked so well is because it was all about their relationship…the extra side stories that no one cares…
When I go into a movie knowing it’s going to be a body horror movie I’m excited to see what they do. Ever since I saw “the fly” with Jeff Goldblum I’ve always been a fan…it’s like watching a gross skin covered car accident and you can’t look away.
The substance reeeeeally bumped it up a notch and never backed down…I think I was actually in the theatre saying…”don’t go on stage don’t go on stage” out loud near the end of the film…it was a gory over the top disgusting gross out sound freak fest and I had a lot of fun.
