    The acting, cinematography, and production values, including the animal effects work, aren't all that bad. The real problem with THE PACK is simply that it's the same old tired, trope filled story of a family pinned down in some remote location that must fight to survive. This time, it's been repackaged with wild dogs. If you've seen any film like this before, you've already seen The Pack, you can simply choose to re-watch it with a different antagonist, much like you might choose to eat 15 types of the same Doritos with slightly different seasoning.

    It's like they tried to mix Straw Dogs with something like Critters or Ghoulies, but this isn't as good as any of those. It builds some tension and stays serious for the 1st half or so, but then devolves into complete nonsense, as of the writers simply ran out of ideas halfway through.
