The Witch 2015
Honestly, The Witch really connected with me in a personal and philosophical way. Growing up in a strict religious home i almost connected with Thomasin in a weird way lol. I love the way Edgar's breaks down how religion has such control on society, and it leads to fear and paranoia. The "Black Phillip" goat being satan the whole movie was perfect. The writing of this film is beautiful, and will definitely be one of my favorites.

TBH this movie probably deserves a higher rating, because the deeper meaning is really good...but I did not enjoy sitting through this movie. It's quite, vague, and nothing ever really draws me in or interests me. The moment the lamb is shown to be half human half lamb it becomes super distracting and it's hard to focus on the overall narrative of the plot.
