"Death of a Virgin, and the Sin of Not Living" is the debut of the young director. The main character of the film, a young boy named Etienne, goes with three friends to another city to use the services of a prostitute. On this day, they plan to lose their virginity and thus undergo the ritual of becoming real men. Etienne stands out from the rest, he seems to be a more conscious and penetrating observer of reality, he is…

"Murena" is the feature-length debut of director Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović from Yugoslavia. Interestingly, Martin Scorsese himself served as an executive producer. The film is well-thought-out, well-directed and masterfully produced on every level. He was appreciated at the Cannes Film Festival, where he received the Golden Camera - an award for the best debutant.

There has never been such immersion in the cinema experience. Outstanding spectacle and mastery of the craft.

You may be disappointed by the emotional side or the lack of development of the content (threads) discussed, but that was not the point. The idea was to absorb each frame in its presented world and make the viewer feel the grains of sand on their face.

What disappointed me in the first one was delivered here, e.g. artistically fulfilled, outstanding shots, more specific content with a more specific tone or a sense of greater connection and purpose.
