  Maybe I’m being too harsh on this but I thought this went extremely off the rails after the first act. The plot becomes very lazy and cookie cutter until it eventually borders on nonsensical. I couldn’t take some elements seriously at all. 

  The cinematography and acting are both of very high quality however. Although I think Cage’s performance left me unable to take his character seriously, I still acknowledge that he’s good in this. He just clashes heavily with the tone of a film that’s already filled with half baked and clashing concepts. Unfortunately, I’m overall pretty disappointed with it. 

  
  I’ll give that marketing a 10/10 though.
