Such an incredible show. Everything and everyone at the top of their game. I came so close to giving it 5 stars, but just a couple things (very nit-picky) would prevent that. Ben Stiller is such a force and I’d love to see more television in this lane. Nothing fancy, just realism and grounded.
Also, the opening of episode 5 is phenomenal and the entirety of episode 8 was perfect.
Every shot was beautiful and the editing was on point. Loved the minimal and poetic nature of this, leaning heavily on a visual language. It really left me wanting more, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I wonder if people familiar with this artist and his album got more out of it than I did because I know nothing. But with that, was heavily invested in the world that was created. Was cool to see how far they pushed this into experimental exploration.

very stylized, but not necessarily in a good way. FELT LIKE A 2 HOUR PERFUME COMMERCIAL.
some of the dialogue had me scratching my head.
