The use of colors throughout this movie was well thought out. Purple was used a lot in scenes that showed their love for each other, but it slowly split to red and blue to show their love for each other wasn’t compatible anymore. The scene where they had their major argument was covered in green, foreshadowing how Ryan Gosling’s character chose to pursue money over his dreams, ultimately putting his financial goals over his dream goals; this was a breaking point in their beautiful relationship, and the color purple made a return at the end to show that they still love each other, but just differently.
