what a treat. forgot how spectacularly carol reed makes vienna look full of little voids that you can step in and out of and disappear and back again, somewhere between sprawling and claustrophobic, dirty and ornate. forgot about ALL the dutch angles? still the best soundtrack a gal could ask for? genuinely, what a treat
