Good will hunting is able to capture the essence of trauma incredibly well, showcasing the defence mechanisms often used by survivors and the disconnect between the nervous system of the body with the mind.
When Sean tells Will, that it, being his past and his upbringing, was never his fault, it sparks the beginning of Will’s healing through an incredibly powerful scene. As Sean continues to repeat this phrase, Will repeatedly dismisses it rather than acknowledging and validating the pain…

12 Angry Men was such an incredible movie to watch. This was all due to the dialogue and directing, without which the movie would be a long and rather boring story about white men discussing a murder. The cinematography and the dynamic characters within the movie are the main traits that made this movie so iconic.
The characters were so well-written and each had their own idiosyncrasies, habits, demeanours, all of which merged together and harmonized to create a story that was absolutely amazing.
I was hooked from the very start, and I would definitely recommend this movie to all of my friends.
