  Completing my research for this year’s Razzie Awards, The Crow is up for two awards:

  Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel

  I never saw the original movie, and I usually wouldn't waste my time with a movie that only got two noms. But my ballot is due in at midnight tonight, and Letterboxd notified me yesterday that The Crow is now streaming on an app I already use, so I'm squeezing in one more movie.…

  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  ★★★½ Watched 15 Feb 2025

  I can see why the latest Captain America movie is getting mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it. It was like a Tom Clancy political thriller, but with superheroes. And speaking as someone who likes seeing the grand design of the MCU and trying to figure out how it all fits together, sometimes even I just turn off my brain and can enjoy a mostly self-contained story.

  I was supposed to go on vacation to California in two weeks. Going to Disneyland and going through Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge with my cousin and her family was going to be the centerpiece. I was developing an Original Character to role-play as. Feeling wistful now after watching this infomercial.
