The Thing 1982
Initially saw this gem when I was about 10 years old. I assumed I was off a benadryl for my initial viewing because of the hazy rememberance of some dude CPRing into a chimeric alien chest. Turns out I actually have an iron trap upstairs and that is exactly what happens. The 80s practical effects, costume design, and 12-man personal flamethrowers were all top notch. Horror is at its best when the characters are actually behaving in the correct way to counteract the monster and still end up losing. GG Kurt back to the lobby.
