Captain America: Brave New World 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Man this one was wild:
- What a great sequel to The Hulk advertised as a Captain America movie.
- A quarter of the budget must have gone to the two minute cameos from Liv Tyler and Sebastian Stan.
- There are a number of scenes where the CGI was laughably bad, I'm talking Black Panther third act fight bad.
- Seeing cap take the shield out of the frunk of a 2025 GMC Sierra Truck feels like the dirtiest…Translated from by

Kamikaze Girls 2004
On a purely technical level, this movie went absolutely harder than I thought it would. Excellent blocking, transitions, framing, camera movement, wild color grading and use of green screen. You would think having a huge on screen white backlight would be awful on paper, but sometimes it works with how absurd everything is. In the non technical, the two leads had amazing chemistry and that beauty pageant scene had me dying.

Fool's Paradise 2023
Every character besides Ken Jeong and Charlie Day feels completely one note. This film was a very on the nose attempt at meta commentary about Hollywood without contributing anything we haven't already seen before. It earns a one star for Adrien Brody's theater bit and the passable soundtrack.
The most unfortunate part is even if you ignore all of this film's faults there's still one thing that rings true: It's just not funny.
