I’m not sure what happened here, because I missed every single bit of hype towards this movie, and I believe it had its fair share… somewhere. And now having watched it, I must reconsider what shapes my inner circle of life, because this is an easy banger. Somewhat surprising since I had no idea what to expect besides knowing what the conclave is and how it works.

It is very difficult to find any bad here to be honest, just…

I had fun, I don’t have (a lot of) big words for it though. One thing I’ll say is that I have never in my life seen two actors with such little chemistry still deliver an interesting relationship such as this. I take it that this was intentional, because of the whole sex bot dilemma. Again, it was fun and it discusses a few social matters in an engaging fashion, such as the chronically online individual, the dilution of emotions amidst a loneliness epidemic, incel culture, poor socialization. It does this without coming on too strong, which I think was the ideal approach here.

Since I am giving this 5⭐️, I’ll start by criticizing the only thing I felt was missing. It isn’t really something I deemed necessary for the movie to work, just something I would’ve liked to see being a big fan of the character since 2006. What could I possibly say that hasn’t already been said. I love it all, cinematography, soundtrack, plot, theme, acting and that “It” factor that definitely sets it apart, at least in 2024. A brutal, funny, nauseating, confrontational, entertaining masterpiece.

If there’s anything for me to criticize is the annoying trope of repeating quotes from earlier to make sure the audience gets what the character is thinking about. I really hate this… in every single movie I have ever watched. So really this is just me nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking.
